Their retreat will pose threats to Arctic coastal ecosystem function and eventually local livelihoods. The Arctic is a harbinger of the consequences of multiple global and regional environmental change on ecosystems and livelihoods: The overarching objective of FACE-IT is to enable adaptive co-management of social-ecological fjord systems in the Arctic in the face of rapid cryosphere and biodiversity changes.<\/p>\n<p>Objectives<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Identify and quantify key drivers of biodiversity changes and their past and future trends.<\/li>\n<li>Identify cascading effects of a changing biodiversity associated with ongoing and projected changes in Arctic coastal food webs.<\/li>\n<li>Assess the interdependencies between environmental changes and Arctic coastal livelihoods.<\/li>\n<li>Support adaptive co-management at the local and national levels.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.face-it-project.eu\/\">FACE-IT<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-38154","faktaside","type-faktaside","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/npolar.no\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/faktaside\/38154","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/npolar.no\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/faktaside"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/npolar.no\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/faktaside"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/npolar.no\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=38154"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
